“The Heart of a Sailor.”
By
My life is like a sailor's boat,
Never knowing where it'll end,
I try to steer it my own way,
But it leads me to your door again.
I plot my course on a map,
And try to plan my destiny,
I realize it was a trap,
As you were there waiting for me.
A sailor's coat I had worn,
To protect me from the rain falling,
I didn't know, I could have sworn,
That you were there calling.
I rushed ashore as I embark,
To the little house on the hill,
The stars were bright and the night so dark,
And you were waiting for me still.
And each day as I sail again,
I take you in my heart,
For you know that I love you then,
And that I will never stop.
